Steven M. King

Attorney Steven King attended Michigan State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work in 2011.  While completing his undergraduate degree, he co-coordinated a youth program in an underprivileged neighborhood, which involved service projects, a non-violence curriculum, and a neighborhood garden.  In law school, Steven worked for the State of Michigan Attorney General’s Office and completed internships with two Probate Courts.

About Me

He graduated with his juris doctorate cum laude in 2016 before going on to work for a year as a law clerk for a judge who had a busy family law docket.  After that, Steven and his wife Traci were finally able to fulfill their dream of moving to Western North Carolina in 2017, where Steven worked as a licensed insurance producer until he took the bar exam and became a North Carolina attorney in 2019.  He represented the Buncombe, Polk, and Transylvania IV-D Child Support Services Agencies from 2020 to 2023, after which he joined Hill Law Office.

Steven met his wife Traci in 2005, and they married in 2008.  They live in Buncombe County with their young son.  In his spare time, Steven enjoys cooking, listening to music, watching standup comedy, gardening, and being outdoors with his family.
